SV03 battery price against Dyson Australia
Dyson Australia prices the V6-family genuine battery as one support part, and it is listed under the V6 / DC59 / DC58 parts. Our SV03 pack is the same platform.

Two of our own listings price this platform differently
Our SV03 and 61034-01 pages list this pack at AU $45.79, while the separate DC58 product page lists a 21.6 V 3000 mAh pack at AU $75.55 (Reg AU $83.10). Same platform, different page, different money. Buy from the page whose code matches your label, and ask us to confirm the price you will be charged: [CONFIRM which price applies to the 965874-02 pack].
Four things this pack puts back into an SV03
3.0 Ah, 64.8 Wh
21.6 V × 3.0 Ah = 64.8 Wh, which suits a handheld that spends its life on car seats, stairs and skirting boards rather than whole-house cleans.
Panasonic cells, protected
Panasonic A grade 18650 lithium cells with protection against over-current, short circuit and internal overheating, and 100 % QC before dispatch.
One pack, eleven machines
The same fitting covers SV03 to SV09, the V6 retail names and DC58 to DC74 — see which Dysons share a battery.
Warranty handled here
Full 1 year warranty and 30 day money back, on info@aussiebatt.com, Monday to Friday 9am–4pm.
What you receive
One battery pack and the screws already on your SV03. Nothing needs modifying, and your existing 21.6 V Dyson charger is the one you keep. Dyson Australia lists a V6-family pre-filter at AU $35.00 if that is due too, but a handheld that stops after two minutes is more often blocked than tired.
Extras such as a printed fitting card, spare screws or a filter are not published on our SV03 listing, so they are flagged rather than assumed: [CONFIRM what printed material ships in the SV03 box].
Three steps, one screwdriver
Our SV03 fitting photos are the ones on the left below — the label in the picture reads SV03, which is why they are the reference sequence for this page.
-
1

Undo the retaining screw
Unplug the charger first. The photo shows an SV03 label: find the battery retaining screw, loosen it and keep it somewhere safe.
-
2

Swap the packs
Slide the depleted pack away, line the new one up to the same contacts and mounting points, and seat it squarely.
-
3

Refit, charge, test
Refit your screw snugly without forcing plastic threads, then charge on your original 21.6 V Dyson charger before the first clean.
Stop if the old pack shows any of this
A swollen or discoloured case, a burnt smell, a drop or a soak, or cells rattling inside. Do not charge it and never puncture it — take it to an Australian household-battery recycler.
SV07: our two listings disagree
Our live SV03 page includes SV07 in its compatibility list, while our V7 page states that the V7 pack is not fit for V6, V8 or SV07. Both sentences are published, so an SV07 owner cannot read this site and know which pack to buy. Match the code on the battery itself and ask us directly: [CONFIRM which pack an SV07 needs]. Trade-mark note: Dyson is a registered trade mark of Dyson Technology Ltd; these are compatible replacements, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Dyson.
Why Dyson SV03 and V6-family batteries fail
Handhelds get dropped, and they get left flat
Handheld Duty is rough on a pack: it is carried by the handle, knocked against door frames and stored in a car or a cupboard where the temperature swings. Lithium cells age faster through heat and flat storage, and a pack left at zero for months may never accept a charge again. MAX mode accelerates all of it. Clean the cyclone and wash the filter first — the blockages on a small machine cause cut-outs quickly — then check the signs it is time to replace and the battery care guide.
Dyson SV03 battery questions, answered
Will fitting this SV03 battery void my Dyson warranty?
Most likely, yes, while the machine is inside Dyson's cover period — a third-party battery normally voids Dyson's cover on that machine. Our own limitation is published in full: our warranty does not extend to any products that are physically damaged or that are not under normal operating conditions as a result of misuse or improper installation on the buyer/user's part. See does it void my warranty.
Can I keep using my original 21.6 V Dyson charger?
Yes. The SV03 takes the same 21.6 V charger as the rest of the V6 family — never substitute a charger of another voltage. If yours is lost, see the charger page.
The pack runs warm. Should I worry?
Mild warmth after a long session is normal. Too hot to hold, cut-outs that only clear after cooling, or a burnt smell is not — stop and contact us. On a handheld, a blocked inlet is the other common cause of both heat and short running.
How long will it run per charge?
We publish no runtime minutes and will not invent any. The arithmetic is 21.6 V × 3.0 Ah = 64.8 Wh, which is deliberately smaller than the 86.4 Wh 4.0 Ah pack on our V6 page. Run time is that energy divided by the draw, which changes between ECO and MAX and with the attachment fitted.
Is this the click-in or the screw-in version of the V6 family?
The SV03 handheld is screw-retained, and you reuse your own screws. Type A click and Type B screw labels belong to the older 22.2 V DC31–DC45 range. For the difference between the fitting styles, read click-in vs screw-in.
Delivery and warranty claims — how do they work?
Orders are processed within 24 hours at Granville, Sydney and most parcels arrive in 3–7 working days, tracked. Email info@aussiebatt.com with the order number, the model code and the fault for a 1 year warranty claim, or use the 30 day money back window on a wrong fit — see returns.
