AussieBatt does not stock battery packs for the Dyson V11, V11 Outsize, V12, V15 Detect, V10 Outsize, Gen5 or WashG1. Those machines use their own higher-voltage, machine-specific packs, and nothing in our 21.6 V, 25.2 V or 22.2 V range substitutes for them. Rather than leave you at a dead end, this page does three useful things: it explains why the packs are not interchangeable, it walks you through confirming the fault is the battery at all, and it tells you the exact part code to email us if you want a sourcing check.
We would rather lose the sale and keep the customer. Listing an "almost fits" pack for a V11 would cost you AU $60, your time and possibly your machine.
Our Dyson range is built around four published voltage platforms: the 21.6 V slide-in group, the 21.6 V screw-canister group, the 25.2 V V10 group and the 22.2 V legacy handheld group. Each one is matched to part codes that appear on our own listings. The newer full-size sticks are simply not in that set.
If you own a V11, V12, V15, Gen5 or WashG1, the answer from us is no — and that is the useful part of this page. The right next step is a diagnosis, then Dyson's own support route, then a sourcing request with your part code. Do not buy a 21.6 V pack and hope.
People ask this constantly, usually after seeing a "universal" battery somewhere online. There are four independent barriers, and clearing one does not help you over the next.
1. Voltage. Our V6, V7, V8 and legacy packs are 21.6 V or 22.2 V builds and the V10 is 25.2 V. The later full-size machines run their own pack specifications, so the number that matters is on your old battery, not on our listings. [CONFIRM the pack voltage printed on the label of your V11 / V12 / V15 battery] — we are not going to state a figure for a machine we do not list.
2. Connector and pinout. Even inside one voltage class, our V7 listing is explicit that its pack is not a fit for V6, V8 or SV07. The plug, the pin count and where those pins sit are part of the design. A pack that "sort of lines up" is a pack running on two of four contacts.
3. Battery management and communication. Modern cordless machines do not simply draw current from a brick of cells; the pack's protection board talks to the machine about charge state, temperature and fault conditions. Where that handshake fails, the machine limits power, refuses to charge, or throws a fault light — which is why "it clicks in but does not work" is a normal outcome of a mismatched pack.
4. Shell, mounting and weight. The V10 shell is already larger than the V8's, and the trigger, handle and cyclone geometry change again down the range. Screws, catches and the centre of gravity are part of the fit. An adapter bracket fixes the visible problem and leaves you with a heavier, unbalanced machine and a pack that is not mechanically supported under the load it was designed for.
Put together: a mismatched pack is not an ugly-but-working compromise. It is a lithium battery running outside the electrical and mechanical conditions its host machine was designed to supervise, and the failure mode is a hot pack, a dead charger or a damaged tool connection.
DIY lead swaps, pin adapters and "universal" packs with flying leads are the fastest route to a short circuit we see. There is no warranty outcome at the end of them either: our warranty does not extend to products that are physically damaged or that are not under normal operating conditions as a result of misuse or improper installation on the buyer's part. If your machine is outside our range, that is the honest stop sign.
Dyson prints an SV code on the body plate of every machine — SV03 on a V6-era handheld, SV10 on a V8, SV12 on a V10 — and those equivalents are published on our listings, so we can state them. For the later models we do not list, we deliberately do not publish a code-to-model map: a wrong SV code in a customer email wastes a week for both of us. [CONFIRM SV code for your Dyson V11, V11 Outsize, V12, V15 Detect or Gen5 model from the plate on the machine before we publish any mapping]
What you should send us instead is what is physically on your pack: the part code, the voltage line and the amp-hour line from the battery label. That is the only information that reliably identifies a replacement, and it is the first thing our support team asks for. [CONFIRM the part number printed on your V11 / V12 / V15 battery for a sourcing check]

Most "my V15 has died" tickets we get asked about are not battery tickets. These checks cost nothing and, on the machines where they apply, they are the difference between a AU $60 part and a AU $300 part.
Empty the bin, wash and fully dry the filters, and check the cyclone and the airway for a blockage. A blocked machine overheats and cuts out in a way that imitates a dying battery almost perfectly — on every Dyson generation, not just the ones we stock.
Heat is a charging inhibitor as well as a lifespan problem. Our V10 listing publishes charging at 0–45 °C; a pack carried in from a hot car or used hard on MAX will often refuse to take a charge until it has sat inside for an hour.
Try a different wall socket, look at the plug pins for corrosion or bending, and confirm the indicator behaves as it does when the machine is healthy. A charger that has failed, or one substituted at the wrong voltage, will never bring a pack back — and a dock that clicks without making contact reads exactly like a dead battery.
Run one clean on ECO and one on MAX. A pack that finishes an ECO clean but cuts out almost immediately on MAX has a load problem — the classic wear signature. If nothing works on any mode and the machine will not charge at all, the pack or its board is the likely failure.
Swelling, discoloration, a split seam, a burnt smell or damage from a drop mean the pack is finished and should not be charged again. Take it to an Australian household-battery recycler, not the household bin.
Voltage, amp-hours, part code and the SV code from the body plate. With those four lines we can answer a sourcing question in one email; without them nobody can, including Dyson support.
Three real options, in the order we would take them.
If the machine is still inside its cover period, a battery claim belongs with Dyson, not with us — fitting a third-party pack normally voids the manufacturer's cover on that machine. Dyson Australia sells genuine replacement batteries as support parts for the machines it supports, and its own parts pages publish the fitting warnings.
Read the warranty guideFilters, cyclone blockages, brush-bar wear and charging docks cause most short-run-time and will-not-charge complaints. Our diagnosis order above applies to a V15 exactly as it does to a V8, and none of it requires buying anything from anyone.
Symptom checklistWe are a battery distributor with wholesale supply lines, not just a shop front. Email the part code, voltage and amp-hour line from your pack label to info@aussiebatt.com (Monday to Friday, 9am–4pm) and we will check whether the pack can be sourced. If we cannot, we will tell you that too.
Contact supportA sourcing check is a request, not a promise. It costs you one email and it costs us a look at the supply side; we will only quote you a price and a part if we can actually ship it. [CONFIRM whether AussieBatt can source V11 / V15 packs through its wholesale suppliers, and the lead time]

Customers often ask whether the V10 pack is "close enough" to a newer machine. It is the highest-voltage pack in our range at 25.2 V, sold as the Dyson V10 replacement battery for codes 206340 and 969352-02 on the V10, Cyclone V10 and SV12 family — and it is not a substitute for anything built after that generation. Bigger than the V8 shell, higher voltage than the V6 group, and still a different machine-specific design from a V11.
The one legitimate use for "nearest platform" thinking is a household with more than one Dyson: the older stick in the cupboard may well be a V8 or a V10 whose pack we do sell, and it is often the cheaper machine to bring back into service.
The V10 page publishes 3.8 Ah in its specification block and 4800 mAh in its package-contents line, and the same pack appears on the 969352-02 listing at 3500 mAh. We are showing all three readings instead of picking one — [CONFIRM which V10 pack you ship] — so if you are a V10 owner ordering from this page, ask us which build you will receive before you pay.
V11, V12, V15, Gen5 and WashG1 owners: skip this section and email the code instead. Everyone else — every pack below is brand new with a full 1 year warranty and 30 day money back, ships free by Australia Post from Granville, and orders are processed within 24 hours with most parcels arriving in 3–7 working days.

Open the charger pageNo. The V15 Detect, V11, V11 Outsize, V12, V10 Outsize, Gen5 and WashG1 are outside the current AussieBatt range and we do not list packs for them. If you want us to check the supply side, email the part code, voltage and amp-hour line from your pack label to info@aussiebatt.com and we will tell you whether it can be sourced.
No. Voltage matching alone has never made a battery fit. The connector and pin layout, the communication between the pack's protection board and the machine, and the physical shell all have to match as well, and on the later generations they do not. A pack that goes in but cannot be supervised by the machine is a safety risk, not a saving.
Read it off the body plate on your own machine. We publish SV equivalents only for the platforms we list - SV03 to SV06 and SV09 on the V6 shell, SV10 on the V8, SV11 on the V7, SV12 on the V10 - and we are not going to print a mapping for machines we do not stock.
We will not recommend it and we will not supply parts for it. Adapters and lead swaps put a lithium pack outside the electrical and mechanical conditions the machine was designed to supervise, and our warranty does not cover products that are not under normal operating conditions as a result of misuse or improper installation.
Wash and fully dry the filters, clear the bin and cyclone and check the airway for a blockage, let the machine return to room temperature, test the charger on another wall socket, and compare ECO against MAX on the same floor. Blocked airflow and a dock that is not making contact imitate battery failure on every Dyson generation.
Fitting any third-party battery to a machine still inside the manufacturer's cover period will normally void Dyson's cover on that machine. If yours may still be covered, claim through Dyson first - our full explanation, including what our own 1 year warranty does cover, is on the warranty page.
Because the alternative is a V15 owner buying a V8 pack from us, discovering it does not fit, and both of us losing a month. A clear no with a diagnosis order and a sourcing route is worth more than a sale that ends in a return.
