Dyson V10 Replacement Battery — 25.2 V, 3.5–4.8 Ah Listed
The V10 is not a bigger V8 — it is a 25.2 volt platform with its own, larger shell. Our pack uses Sony A grade 18650 cells and is listed under codes 206340 and 969352-02 (SV12 machines included), at AU $98.99 list and AU $75.79. One thing up front: our own listings publish three different capacity readings for this pack, and this page shows all three instead of quietly picking one.
Charge and confirm the capacity by part code before you order — details below.

25.2 V is the boundary. A V10 pack will not substitute for a 21.6 V V8 pack and vice-versa, no matter how similar the photos look. Read the voltage line printed on your own battery before anything else.

Every number we publish for this pack, side by side
Dyson Australia has no verified genuine V10 battery list price in our source notes, so this table compares our own three listings. We are not going to average them or pick the most flattering one.

Three capacity readings exist — confirm yours before ordering
The V10 / SV12 pack appears in our store as 3.8 Ah in the specification block, as 4800 mAh in that same page's package contents line, and as 3500 mAh on the 969352-02 listing. The energy arithmetic on the two figures we do publish is 25.2 V × 3.8 Ah = 95.8 Wh and 25.2 V × 4.8 Ah = 121.0 Wh — labelled arithmetic, not a lab result. Email the code printed on your battery to info@aussiebatt.com and we will tell you which pack you would actually receive: [CONFIRM which V10 pack you ship].
No saving figure on this page, on purpose
Our Dyson Australia price notes verify genuine list prices for the V6, the V7/V8 part 972237-01 and the legacy Type B battery — all at AU $150.00 — but they do not include a V10 genuine battery price. Rather than quote a saving we cannot stand behind, we simply do not. When a verified V10 price exists, it will appear here and on the price comparison page.
Four reasons V10 owners replace the pack themselves
The higher-voltage platform
V10 machines run a 25.2 V pack in a larger shell. That is why a V8 battery cannot be made to work here, and why this page exists separately.
Sony cells, published limits
Sony A grade 18650 lithium cells with the temperature window printed on the listing: charge 0–45 °C, discharge −20–60 °C.
Why a V10 "will not charge"
If the pack is below 0 °C or above 45 °C the protection stops charging. A garage in January or a frozen van in July is enough — move it inside and wait.
Tracked from Sydney
Orders are processed within 24 hours at Granville, NSW 2142, with most parcels arriving in 3–7 working days, fully tracked.
What you receive
One V10 pack and the fasteners already on the machine. Nothing needs cutting or adapting, and the charger you use today is the one you keep. The 969352-02 listing shows a 560 g pack, which is the weight figure we have for this platform.
Extras such as a printed fitting card, screws or a filter are not published on our V10 listings, so they are flagged rather than assumed: [CONFIRM what printed material ships in the V10 box].
Three steps, and one temperature check
The V10 pack sits in the larger 25.2 V shell behind the bin. Take a photo of the old label first — it is the evidence that decides which of our three listings you should be buying from.
-
1

Release the old pack
Unplug the charger and let the pack sit to room temperature. Loosen the retaining screws — the photo is from our SV03 sequence and shows an SV03 label, but the screw-first principle is the same.
-
2

Seat the replacement
Line up the contacts, push the pack home until it sits squarely, then refit your screws snugly without forcing plastic threads.
-
3

Charge in the right range
Charge between 0 and 45 °C on your original V10 charger. A brand new pack arrives partly charged; run a full charge before the first long clean.
Do not charge or fit a pack that is
Swollen, discoloured, dropped, waterlogged or smelling of burnt plastic. Never puncture a lithium pack. Take it to an Australian household-battery recycler instead.
Why Dyson V10 batteries fail on this platform
Higher voltage, higher heat, stricter limits
The V10 draws more power than the sticks before it, so the pack runs warmer and the charge window is narrow — 0 to 45 °C. Docking the machine in a hot laundry produces exactly the symptom owners report: the charger looks dead because the protection circuit will not accept a charge at that temperature. Cycles, heat and flat storage do the rest, and a blocked filter still imitates all of it. Before buying, work through how to get more life from a V10 battery and the replacement decision list.
Dyson V10 battery questions, answered
Will fitting this battery void my Dyson V10 warranty?
Most likely, yes, while the machine is still inside Dyson's cover period — fitting any third-party battery will normally void Dyson's cover on that machine. Claim through Dyson first if you can. Our own limitation is published in full: our warranty does not extend to any products that are physically damaged or that are not under normal operating conditions as a result of misuse or improper installation on the buyer/user's part. See does it void my warranty.
Can I use my original V10 charger, or a 21.6 V Dyson charger?
Use the charger that came with the V10. This is a 25.2 V pack, and a 21.6 V charger for the V6/V7/V8 family is not the same thing — never substitute a charger of a different voltage. If your charger is lost, see the charger page.
My V10 pack gets hot and the charger seems dead. Is it faulty?
Often not — it is the published temperature limit doing its job. This pack will only charge between 0 and 45 °C and discharge between −20 and 60 °C. Move the machine somewhere cooler, let it sit for an hour and try again. If the case is swollen, discoloured or smells burnt, stop and contact us.
How long will the V10 run once I fit your battery?
We publish no runtime minutes and will not invent them — and on this platform we will not quote one capacity as fact because our own listings differ: 3.8 Ah in the specification block, 4800 mAh in that page's package contents line and 3500 mAh on the 969352-02 listing at 560 g and AU $88.97 Reg. Confirm by part code before ordering. The arithmetic available is 95.8 Wh at the 3.8 Ah reading and 121.0 Wh at the 4800 mAh reading; real run time is that energy divided by the machine's draw, which swings hardest between ECO and MAX.
Is the V10 pack click-in or screw-in, and will a V8 battery fit instead?
The V10 uses the larger 25.2 V shell with its own fixings; a V8 pack is a different voltage and will not serve. Type A click and Type B screw labels belong to the 22.2 V DC31–DC45 handhelds — see click-in vs screw-in.
How do delivery and a warranty claim work?
Orders are processed within 24 hours at Granville, Sydney and most parcels arrive in 3–7 working days, tracked, with the number emailed. Email info@aussiebatt.com with the order number, the code off the battery and the fault for the 1 year warranty, or use the 30 day money back window if it is the wrong fit — see returns.
