Dyson SV11 Replacement Battery — 21.6 V, 4000 mAh
SV11 is the model code on the machine; in the shop the same family is sold as a V7, and both use the 21.6 V, 4000 mAh (4.0 Ah) pack under codes 968670-02 and 225403. Our SV11 product page publishes Reg AU $87.44 → Sale AU $79.49 at 520 g, while our V7 page publishes AU $50.79 for the same specification. Both are real, so both are on this page.
Our V7 listing for this platform says the pack is not fit for V6, V8 or SV07.

SV11 price against Dyson Australia, and against ourselves
Dyson Australia sells one genuine pack covering V7 and V8 SKU codes at AU $150.00. Because our own two listings disagree on what the same 21.6 V 4000 mAh pack costs, the table shows both rows.
| Listing | Our price | Dyson AU list | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| SV11 page (this page) | AU $79.49 | AU $150.00 | AU $70.51 · 47% less |

OEM prices shown are Dyson Australia list prices for the corresponding genuine part, checked on dyson.com.au on 31 October 2026. Dyson changes prices and availability — confirm before relying on the saving figure. The difference column is subtraction between two published prices, not a quote. Dyson publishes part 972237-01 against V7 and V8 SKU codes rather than against the SV11 code, so treat the genuine-part mapping as indicative: [CONFIRM the Dyson AU genuine part code for SV11].
Do not assume the two pages are two different products
Both pages describe a 21.6 V, 4000 mAh, Li-ion pack for the same platform, and both are live on aussiebatt.com today. A AU $28.70 gap between two listings of one part is a pricing error somewhere, and it is our job to fix it rather than your job to guess. Order from whichever page you are buying, then email info@aussiebatt.com with a screenshot if the charged price is not the one you saw: [CONFIRM SV11 selling price].
Four things this pack does for an SV11
4000 mAh, 86.4 Wh
21.6 V × 4.0 Ah = 86.4 Wh of stored energy — the figure that governs run time alongside the mode, the head and the state of the filters.
Protected cells
Sony A grade 18650 lithium cells per our V7 listing, with protection against over-current, short circuit and internal overheating, and 100 % QC of every battery.
LED charge lights
The V7 listing for this pack publishes LED charge lights, so you can read the state of charge without putting the machine back on its dock.
520 g, tracked from Sydney
Our SV11 page publishes 520 g. Orders are processed within 24 hours at Granville, NSW 2142 and most parcels arrive in 3–7 working days.
What you receive
One battery pack and the screws already fitted to your machine — no cutting, no drilling, no adapter, and the 21.6 V charger you own stays in service. Dyson Australia lists the V7/V8 pre-filter at AU $35.00 if that is due too, but a filter that has never been washed is the more common reason an SV11 cuts out early.
Extras such as a printed fitting card, spare screws or a filter are not published on our SV11 listing, so they are flagged rather than assumed: [CONFIRM what printed material ships in the SV11 box].
Three steps, one screwdriver
The SV11 pack is screw-retained like every V7. Photograph the label on the old battery before removal — it is the evidence that matches you to the right listing.
-
1

Loosen the retaining screws
Unplug the charger first. The photo is our SV03 screw sequence and shows an SV03 label, but the screw-then-slide method is the same on an SV11.
-
2

Swap the packs
Slide the depleted pack away, line the new pack up to the same contacts and mounting points, and seat it squarely before tightening.
-
3

Refit, charge, clean
Refit your own screws snugly without forcing plastic threads, then run a full charge on your original 21.6 V Dyson charger.
Stop if the old pack shows any of this
Swelling, discoloration, a burnt smell, a hard drop or a soak, or cells rattling inside the case. Do not charge it and never puncture it — hand it to an Australian household-battery recycler.
Why Dyson SV11 and V7 batteries fail
Trigger-held cleaning ages a pack faster
On this platform you hold the trigger the whole time, so sessions are longer and hotter than owners expect, and MAX mode draws far more current than ECO. Combine that with flat storage in a hot cupboard and the cells lose capacity permanently. Before you buy, wash and dry the pre-motor filter, clear the cyclone, and let the pack cool for an hour — then read the V7 not-holding-charge guide and how to extend V7 run time. If it is genuinely the cell, store the replacement at roughly 40–50 % charge, 15–25 °C when the machine sits unused.
Dyson SV11 battery questions, answered
Will fitting this SV11 battery void my Dyson warranty?
Most likely, yes, while the machine is inside Dyson's cover period — a third-party battery normally voids Dyson's cover on that machine. Our own limitation is published in full: our warranty does not extend to any products that are physically damaged or that are not under normal operating conditions as a result of misuse or improper installation on the buyer/user's part. See does it void my warranty.
Can I keep my original Dyson charger?
Yes — the pack takes the same 21.6 V Dyson charger as the V7 it shares a code list with. Never substitute a charger of another voltage, and see the charger page if yours is lost.
Is a warm pack a warning sign?
Mild warmth after a long session is normal. A pack too hot to hold, cut-outs that only clear after an hour of cooling, a burnt smell or a swollen case are not — stop using it, do not puncture it, and take the old pack to an Australian battery recycler.
How long will it run, in minutes?
We publish no runtime minutes and will not invent them. What we can state is stored energy: 21.6 V × 4.0 Ah = 86.4 Wh, and a published weight of 520 g. Minutes are that energy divided by the machine's draw, which is highest on MAX and with a motorised head on carpet.
Is the SV11 pack click-in, screw-in, or one of Dyson's Type A / Type B packs?
It is the screw-retained V7 style pack and reuses your own screws. Type A click and Type B screw labels belong to the older 22.2 V DC31–DC45 handhelds. To identify your fitting, read click-in vs screw-in.
Delivery times and how to claim on the warranty?
Orders are processed within 24 hours at Granville, Sydney; most parcels arrive in 3–7 working days, tracked. Email info@aussiebatt.com with the order number, the model code and the fault for a 1 year warranty claim, or use the 30 day money back window on a wrong fit — see returns.
