HP Split x2 has a battery in both the screen\/tablet portion of the laptop computer and in the keyboard. This new model joins a rapidly growing hybrid market.<\/p>\n

\"hp-business-notebook--8710p-laptop-battery\"<\/a>The Split x2 is a detachable PC, meaning that the screen can be removed and used separately as a tablet. HP also announced the Android-based SlateBook x2 on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The screen-cum-tablet half of the Split x2 incorporates the HP ClickPad for gesture and multifinger navigation.<\/p>\n

Android Gets a Laptop You Can Use<\/h3>\n

The HP Slatebook x2, coming this summer for $479.99, is a 10.1-inch Android tablet that becomes a laptop when attached to its keyboard dock. The dock has a touchpad that directs a mouse cursor — something not often found on Android laptop devices.<\/p>\n

The screen is a bright 1,920 x 1,200 IPS display. The default background screen prominently displays your remaining\u00a0HP 468816-001 Laptop Battery<\/span><\/a> life for both the tablet and base.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Split x2 and SlateBook x2 “join the HP Envy x2 as part of HP’s detachable PC portfolio,” HP spokesperson Sheila Watson told TechNewsWorld.<\/p>\n
